WOUNDED LOVE

#wedohardthings

Today, the hard thing you may be called to do is love someone who believes differently than you do. They may be angry or prideful. Acting out of that anger or pride and hurt they may do or say something evil or insulting. It may require you to "not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing" (1 Pet. 3:9). We can end up wounded from the actions and words of those who do not believe like we do. Jesus Christ did! He was murdered by the scribes and elders of His own people. Yet He taught us these things must be. They were His ministry. He came to willingly suffer these things so we might be saved. By these wounds, we are healed. Today, you may experience a wound, but you do not have to return evil for evil. You can return good for evil and blessing for curse because you have been healed by the grace of God. Your sins have been forgiven and your heart has been cleansed. You are no longer a slave to sin or your old nature, reacting and doing what you used to do simply because you had to. No. Things are different now. I pray God empower you to experience victory in His name for His glory and your joy today! Do that hard thing! God is with you!

In His Service,

Mike
