MICHAEL "PASTOR MIKE" STRONG

PASTOR/CHURCH PLANTER

Mike Strong is lead church planter and pastor at Freedom Missionary Baptist Church (FMBC). He is originally from Little Rock, Arkansas. He and his family moved to North Minneapolis in December of 2012. His desire was to live with those who had been pushed to the margins of society in Minneapolis. His hope is to share the message of Good News: God kept His promises to send a savior for all who are trapped in sin and place their faith in Him, Jesus Christ, who has died in our place, rose from the dead, is alive and in charge of everything that exists today, and is working all things out in accordance with His perfect plan! This message brings the hope, healing, and rest our weary souls hunger for each day.

Mike's passion is to see a return to biblical discipleship that offers all who desire to devote themselves to Christ and His Word the opportunity to be equipped in a missional context (learning on the job). He has a passion to see true joy and peace fill the hearts of those who hunger for it. He desires to see the people of North Minneapolis sent to fill the world with the transformational message of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
